Hello! How have you been? I sure miss stamping with my Stampin’ Up! Artisan friends. A few of us are back informally hopping as the A-Team sharing HOLIDAY ideas. I am excited to see what my talented friends have created.
Do you craft much for the Holidays? I mainly make cards and tags. With that in mind it was hard to choose what to play with. Too many awesome choices for cards and tags. I pulled out the ‘Cup of Christmas’ bundle and intended to only make one card but ended up making a sweet and simple card set for the Holidays. I think these cards will make a darling gift.
All cards are 4.25 x 4.25”. Colors used: Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Basic Black and silver.
Tips and tricks: I have a little tip & trick to share for each card. Hope you can use in your crafting.
Let’s get to it! Loving this … I thought the Candy Cane card turned out super cute. It was super easy to make.
The ‘Let is Snow’ embellishments are a cute addition with this set. Add the mittens for a simple and effective winter card. Use a brad to act as a hook to hang those mittens on. Snowman not required.
YUM, yum! I love the look of a white and pink Christmas. Creating the candy cane in white and layering with Silver Glimmer paper adds a little white flair to the Flirty Flamingo polka dot mug. The poinsettia is colored using the technique I posted about earlier. You can see that post here.
Making Mistletoe: The sprig image comes from the dies included in this bundle. I cut out 5 of these and layered to create mistletoe. These are cut from Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Do you like that pink variegated bakers twine? I colored white baker’s twine with a Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend.
Sa-weeet! I love that little candy cane heart. Cut a reverse candy cane and push those dies a little farther. Simply place the paper upside down and then cut using the die. In this case I placed the Silver Glimmer paper upside down and then cut. The Poppy Parade Candy cane was cut right side up and then flipped over afterward.
Ready for more amazing Holiday inspiration? Next up is current Artisan Design team member and talented friend Lauren, she’s the best. I can’t wait to see what she has in store. THANK YOU for stopping by today and sharing a minute with me. xoxo.
