Hello, hello! Welcome to another Stamping Society Monthy tutorial. This month we are sharing ideas for Spring or Fall cards. Here in the United States Fall is upon us and so I opted to create a leaf THANK YOU card for the season.
What is Stamping Society? We are group of international stampers who showcase an idea monthly through a blog hop and then offer more exclusive ideas through a tutorial. The tutorial showcases 6 exclusive ideas along with instructions and a video. Details on how to get the tutorial at the end of this post.
Fall just might be my favorite season. I love the changing leaves and all the color they bring. Last month I shared a few projects using the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set and I am thrilled that the team has chosen to use this bundle for our tutorials this month.
Fall THINKING OF YOU Card using Gorgeous Leaves Bundle
Instructions:
Cut a piece of Just Jade cardstock to 8.5” x 5.5”. Score and fold in half to create card base.
Cut a piece of Foil Foil cardstock to 3.25” x 4.5”. Center and mount to Just Jade card base.
Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3” x 4.25”. Set aside, you will stamp on this piece shortly.
Gather ink refills and baby wipes for a multicolor ink pad: Classic ink refills: Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider, Bumble Bee, Calypso Coral, and Pumpkin Pie.
To create the multicolor ink pad spread out a baby wipe in a waterproof container. Add small amounts of all of the ink colors directly to the baby wipe.
Mount maple leaf stamp to a clear block. Press the leaf image directly into the baby wipe to ink the image up. Stamp the leaf image onto the Basic White cardstock twice, see card for placement.
Center and mount the stamped leaf background to the Gold Foil cardstock to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Center left to right and top to bottom.
Use the large maple leaf die and die-cut a piece of Gold Foil cardstock.
Take 8-10 inches of linen thread. Wrap around the stem of the gold maple leaf multiple times and then tie a bow.
Center and mount the Gold Foil maple leaf to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the ‘THINKING OF YOU’ sentiment from Inspired Thoughts’ stamp set in Versamark on a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock.
Pour white emboss powder in stamped Versamark ink. Clean up excess with fine tip paint brush if needed.
Heat set the white emboss powder.
Trim sentiment to 3” by 1/2”. Fall each end.
Mount sentiment to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Arrange on top of leaf.
