Hello friends! Today the TGIF Designers are playing with gingham! And using the Gingham Gala designer series papers are a perfect choice for this challenge. Have you seen this gingham paper stack? It’s so cheery and packed with a small and larger gingham patterns in five bright colors. I decided to pair these papers with the Cat & Dog stamp sets from the Occasions catalog. The cat stamp set is called Nine Lives and the Dog set is called Happy tails. Each set has a coordinating animal punch.
The cat card is created with the smaller gingham check using the negative shape of the cat punch. Get more out of your punches using both the positive and negative shapes. The cat shape is super cute as a silhouette. The cat is adorned with a little paper flower built from the Bitty Blooms Punch pack. Simple and fun idea.
The dog card uses the larger gingham check for the background. The dog has been stamped in Versamark and heat embossed on Lemon Lime Twist card stock. The dog shape has been punched from Whisper White cardstock and used to frame the stamped image. Both cards use the same elements and similar layout.
The sentiment on BOTH of the cards comes from the Nine Lives stamp set and it works great for both cat and dog lovers.
I’ve used this Gingham Gala paper a ton! It’s available for $11.00 until the end of May. See more fun projects using these papers at the end of this post. Also, supplies for these projects can be found at the end of this post.
