Hello friends. Welcome, welcome. I’m hitting a twofer this week, combining my work for Global Design Project and Monday Montage. Sometimes you’ve got to be a little efficient.
Monday Montage: So … what Stampin’ Up! project I working on right now? You guessed it. Today I was wrapping up my card for the upcoming GDP challenge.
Card making is so rewarding for me. I love to push myself and try new layouts and ideas. CASEing projects is such a good way to try out new things. That said the Global Design Project has a CASE the designer challenge. We are CASEing a project by my dear Artisan friend Connie Collins. Connie has an amazing style that is always full of rich colors and details. I choose to focus on her colors and layout as inspiration for my project.
My card features a new host stamp set called New Wonders. I love the little fairy images. I stamped the image on the gingham paper and then I stamp the image again on white and hand cut to place over the gingham. It created a fun effect and I like the little bit of extra depth it adds. The gingham papers are part of the new 6x6 paper packs. You can get a gingham pattern in every color Stampin’ Up! offers. This blue is Seaside Spray. What do you think? I really like how this card turned out and it’s quite different for me.
Are you ready to see more inspiration and to play along with us? I can’t wait to see what you come up with for this Global Design Project Challenge. Be sure to tag your project #gdp196
AND… the Monday Montage group is blog hopping and showcasing a variety of Stampin’ Up! projects. Next up is Cheryl Thanks for stopping by!
