HELLO friends! Welcome to the Creating Kindness Around the World Hop. CREATING KINDNESS: We are a group of paper crafters from around the world who have come together to inspire you to create kindness through cardmaking and paper.
Our theme this month is coloring, basically we had to incorporate some form of coloring, such as maker, pencil or paintbrush. Trying to be a little EXTRA today so my card incorporates it ALL. Lol.
It’s amazing what you can create using stamps, ink and paper! Serious. It’s always rewarding to me to start with a black piece of paper and end up with something unique.
Poinsettia background step by step:
Watercolored the background in Flirty Flamingo ink. I used an aqua painter and Flirty Flamingo ink refill. Try to create some darker and lighter areas for extra depth.
Randomly stamp the poinsettia image all over the background.
Color each poinsettia. I randomly colored in the petals in shades of Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade using Stampin’ Write markers. Beside to leave some areas empty to have the base watercolor layer show through.
Add a little white craft paint into the centers of the poinsettias and make those centers pop.
Lastly, color bits of the poinsettias petals using Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.
Our Guest Designer this month is Cathy Caines. She has an amazing way with color. I love her sense of humor and I am super excited to see what she has made for this hop.
