Around here Autumn is in FULL swing and the world is full of reds, oranges, yellows and greens. The timing for this Global Design Project color challenge could not be better! This week we are challenging you to use Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Old Olive in your crafting.
I made two cards for this challenge playing around with the Falling for Leaves bundle of products. I’ve also used the spotted background stamp from Artisan Textures stamp set to create these fun color backgrounds. Kind of looks like Brusho but it’s not.
How I got this look on the background:
Wet the watercolor paper with an aqua painter.
Stamp the spotted background image in Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry ink randomly onto the wet watercolor paper. The wetter the paper the more the ink will bleed. The dryer the paper the more the image crispness will be retained.
THAT’S IT! Super easy without the mess.
This second card uses the same background technique but I only stamped the image in Crushed Curry. The Frosted epoxy embellishments have been hand colored using a Pumpkin Pie Blends marker. I cut Whisper White card stock and Pumpkin Pie card stock using this three leaf die. I layered these together for a DUPLEX look.
More details about this challenge are on the Global Design Project blog. Check it out and play along! See ya soon, Charlet
