Hello everyone! Welcome to another fantastic blog hop. It seems I am putting that statement on repeat these days. Not a bad thing! I love seeing new products, getting a jump on new inspiration and hopping is a great way to receive it. This hop should prove to be a super fun and very diverse hop featuring little sneak peeks of products from Stampin' Up!'s new annual catalog created by a few members of the Artisan Design Team. The majority of the products shown on this hop will be available to purchase staring June 1st.
I was asked to be a presenter at the Hartford OnStage (Stampin' Up! convention for their demonstrator sales force) and was provided a box of goodies to play with and showcase on stage. That box included the Sitting Pretty stamp set, Pretty Park Framelits and three new colors; Grey Granite, Merry Merlot and Shaded Spruce. AH! What to make with red, green, and grey? These new color are beautiful. I also tried to be sure everything on my cards would still be available to purchase in the new catalog. Gotta love challenge!
Here is a quick phone photo to show you the stamp set and the framelits. The stamp set is a 16 piece photopolymer set that includes a bunch of 2 and 3 step images. A perfect set to use with a Stamp-a-ratus. The framelits include many dies to cut out a variety of the stamps. It also include a few unique dies, including another bench (my fav) and a stone ground embossing piece. This set would also make a great companion and to the current stamp set Sitting There. CUTE!
Below are five cards I created with this bundle. I opted to create a class around these products and the cards range from beginning stamper to a more avid stamper.
This first card features the more ornate Bench and one of the greetings from the set. This is a super simple card and a great intro into using these products. Notice how the heart fits into the bench? Fun for adding dimension and color. And, notice how the greeting nestles perfectly between the bench legs? I love smart design elements, it takes much of the work out of creating a successful card layout.
This next card features all THREE fabulous NEW Stampin' Up! colors. The watercolor wash green background is a color called Shaded Spruce.
The red heart and the pot of the plant is called Merry Merlot.
And, the ornate bench is stamped in a fantastic neutral, Grey Granite.
This next card also features the ornate bench, this time stamped in versamark and heat embossed in white embossing powder over a simple watercolor wash. The bench looks great stamped alone or die cut.
I created a brick background for this card using a stencil mask and a little spritz of Blushing Bride ink. I love how Blushing Bride looks against the Grey Granite bench. Isn't that bulldog super cute? Kind of fat and adorable. Notice again how well this BEST FRIENDS statement fits between the bench legs. Smart!
Here is the same basic card layout as the previous card but in this instance I used the glitter embossing paste with the brick mask. I really like how the bench in Merry Merlot picks up little specks of pink and red in the glitter paste. Sorry it's kind of hard to see in these photos.
My last card also uses a brick background ... this time created with the brick stamp border in the set. I've repeatedly stamped it here to create a wall using the Stamp-a-ratus.
Hope you've enjoyed this little peek into the Sitting Pretty bundle that will be available in the NEW 2018 Stampin' Up! annual catalog.
Next up in the hop is the super talented Elizebeth Price. I hear her presentation at the Las Vegas OnStage was super inspiring and I cannot wait to see what she created!
