Butterfly Basics card using the Butterfly thinlits.
I'm a crazy head but I wanted to fit in one last card club with my Utah gals before our move and I'm so glad I did. It was great to see everyone after the holidays and formally say good bye. I will miss getting together with these fabulous ladies on a regular basis.
Here is the first of three projects we created. The Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs are packed with awesome new products. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! This card uses the Butterfly Basics stamp set and the coordinating Thinlits from the Occasions catalog. I love this set of products. So versatile and really great imagery. This card is super simple, uses mainly white card stock and lots of stamping.
Check out this amazing video tip from Patty Bennett's blog on how to use the intricate Butterfly Thinlit in your big shot with wax paper and a dryer sheet. Genius and much easier than how I was doing it. I will use her method from now on.
Festival of Trees shaker cards using the Wondrous Wreath 'NOEL' framelit.
December is always a busy month, and even more so around here with our house being on the market, lots of travel and some various freelance work landing all about the same time. I need to do a life update blog post soon - lots to update everyone on.
December card club happened a little early this month due to a busy month and all of the fun holiday happenings. Since Chris is out of town I needed to bring the boys with me again (same thing for November club). Instead of the kids being underfoot Geoff was able to watch the boys this time and the boys got the get in some cousin time. Win/win for me. Thanks Geoff!
We created a couple of shaker cards this month. This is the first of two shaker cards. This card features the Festival of Trees stamp set. There are two slightly different versions of this card. I'm not sure which I like best. On one shaker card I tried to heat emboss on the clear window sheet with silver embossing powder which was a little tricky so I decided to alter the card for club (static!). The altered version skips the heat embossing and uses Lost Lagoon as an accent color.

Wondrous Wreath Joy Card - SU Holiday 2014
Here is a simple Christmas card we created in November card club. I like the soft look of the Pistachio Pudding and Vanilla with pops or Garden Green and Real Red. The Filigree Frame TEIF has the perfect window opening to house the Wreath from this set. The JOY phrase was cut from Red glitter paper using the coordinating Wondrous Wreath framelits. Tip for detailed framelits: layer your glitter paper with wax paper before cutting out to allow for easier removal of the paper.
