Endless Birthday Wishes - WWYS #65

Another great week ahead! The stamp set for this week's What Will You Stamp challenge is Endless Birthday Wishes. I decided to create a watercolor background with a crisp line using masking paper. I die cut a square from the masking paper and adhered to the watercolor paper and then colored in with Melon Mambo watercolor. I love the look

Hop on over to the What Will You Stamp blog and see more inspiration and play along if you have this set!

Hello Sunshine - February Paper Pumpkin Alternates

Alternates ... I finally pulled out my February Paper Pumpkin kit and played around creating a few alternate projects. First, can I just say this kit is awesome! I really love the Hello Sunshine stamp set and can see myself using it often. Second, this kit is packed with tons of supplies. I ended up making 5 projects and barely scratched the surface. I have so much stuff leftover.

This detail view is great as it really shows off the gold line flower embellishment.

I needed a birthday tag for a gift I was wrapping. Somehow my gift contents matched the colors in this kit exactly so I decided to tie up the contents with a simple striped ribbon and attach the tag. The presentation is so matchy, matchy and I love it. I pulled in the Metro Type alphabet stamp set to add a little customization to the tag with a J, and dotted the J with the flower from the kit stamp set. I attached the tag with a gold glittered clothespin. Fun stuff.

Always impressed by the folks over at the Global Design Project I created this alternate card inspired by the super cute sketch from this week's Global Design Project challenge.

Botanical Blooms - WWYS #52

The challenge set for this week is Botanical Blooms. For me, It's all about the Botanicals. I paired Botanical Blooms and the Botanicals for You stamp sets to create this card for this week's What Will You Stamp challenge.

My card this week shows a marker and spritz inking technique. I added ink with a marker to the Just For You stamp; Cajun Craze on top and Delightful Dijon on the bottom. Then I spritzed the back of the stamp with the stamping Spritzer and immediately stamped onto whisper white card stock to achieve this ink bleed effect. This is a fun technique to play around with as you never really get the same effect twice.
